Our Work

The Fredericksburg Regional CoC is continually working to end homelessness in our community. This may sound impossible, but we believe it is very possible! All of the work that we do works toward achieving this goal.

The Fredericksburg Regional CoC has created a local definition of ending homelessness:

The CoC will have ended homelessness when the homeless crisis response system is right-sized to ensure that all persons experiencing homelessness have a path to permanent housing. Specifically, it means:

  • Identifying all persons experiencing homelessness
  • Providing immediate access to shelter for anyone experiencing unsheltered homelessness
  • Ensuring that all persons experiencing homelessness have an opportunity to move back into permanent housing within 30 days of becoming homeless
  • Preventing new episodes of homelessness whenever possible
