The Fredericksburg Regional CoC participates in collaborative application processes in order to receive funding for regional homeless services through the US Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) Continuum of Care Program and the Virginia Department of Housing and Community Development (DHCD) Virginia Homeless Solutions Program. The George Washington Regional Commission serves as the Collaborative Applicant on behalf of the community for both of these applications.
Each year, the FRCoC adopts a set of policy priorities to guide funding decisions for projects funded through the CoC’s funding processes.
Funding Policies & Procedures
This policy governs the solicitation, review, selection, and ranking of projects for funding through collaborative applications to ensure an objective, transparent, and competitive funding process.
Have you ever wondered if your agency could apply for CoC funding? What funds does the CoC hold funding application rounds for and what types of projects can apply for those fund? Have a project that may be able to use CoC funding, but you just aren’t sure?
The CoC’s Funding Interest Session will provide information on funds the CoC receives/participates in and how those funds can be used. The session will answer general applicant and project eligibility questions for all of our funding options as well as information on what our application process generally looks like. There will be plenty of time for Q&A and to even discuss potential future project applications. The CoC loves to see new applicants in our funding rounds, but we know that there is confusion and time constraints around project planning once a funding opportunity is released. Let us help you plan projects for the community that could help pushing us forward in preventing and ending homelessness for our neighbors.
If you are thinking about seeking funding through a CoC process, you are strongly encouraged to attend this session.
Session will be held July 26, 2021 at 10AM. The session will be recorded and made available on our YouTube channel for those unable to attend. The event is virtual and can be accessed here:
